May We Advocate For You?

The CACFP Forum has a long history of advocating with state agencies, USDA, and elected officials on problems sponsors face in administering the CACFP. An example of some of the advocacy work we have done is listed below:

  • Meeting with USDA officials to discuss sponsor’s issues with new policies and regulations.

  • Locating and sharing guidance issued by the USDA with other CACFP sponsors that proved some State Agency requirements directly conflicted with USDA regulations.

  • Provided examples of successful projects and media campaigns conducted across the country to sponsors and advocacy groups to help promote CACFP and child nutrition programs.
